SECOND UPDATE: Several police agencies are involved in the search for a man believed to be 60 years old, standing six feet tall, and weighing 180 pounds east of IVCC’s campus in Oglesby. He’s also described as balding and having a beard. He may be bleeding from a gunshot wound. A command base is being set up at IVCC. The search may involve drones.
UPDATE: Police believe the suspect may be bleeding and leaving a trail after being shot by police. He was last thought to be east of IVCC at N. 2575th Rd. and E. 369th Rd.
Police have cordoned off the Illinois Valley Community College parking lot in Oglesby to search for a man who stole a Ford Explorer squad car this evening and shot out a window. He may have also fired shots at police. Police believe him to be a 60-year old who stands six feet tall and weighs 180 pounds. Anyone in the area should be careful as the man is believed to be armed with a handgun.
