Thirty year old Joshua Moxley of Streator is to get out of jail and begin serving four years on probation for a sex crime. He pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual abuse, admitting involvement in a sex act with a child under age nine.
The incident happened in 2006 when Moxley was about 16 years old. Moxley wasn’t arrested until June this year. Ottawa police got a report in May about sex crimes that happened more than a decade earlier. Moxley was charged at the time with another sexual assault involving a young person, but that charge was dismissed.
Another person arrested in that investigation, 30-year old Robert M. Rowney of Ottawa, is still facing charges.
