There won’t be a bonfire and hot chocolate for the New Year’s Day Hiking at Dayton Bluffs Nature Preserve next Friday. Spokesman Dave Manigold says volunteers won’t guide the hikes either. They’ll meet people in the parking lot from 8am to noon and suggest trails to match people’s abilities.
The event is being done differently this year because of the pandemic. Manigold suggests dressing in layers and wearing boots in case some spots are wet.
