An Ottawa man has agreed to pay $1,000 to the American Legion as restitution for stealing the money. Fifty-two year old Jeffrey P. Roche pleaded guilty this month to theft. He accepted two years on probation when Judge Cynthia Raccuglia sentenced him. After arresting Roche, Ottawa police said he used to work for the American Legion.
