Patsy (Battles) Berggren
1946- 2020
Patsy Berggren, 74, of rural Earlville, passed away Monday morning, December 21, at the Ottawa Pavilion. Private Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday December 23, 2020 in Freedom Lutheran Cemetery in Freedom Twp. with Rev. Cheri Stewart, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Ottawa, officiating. Private visitation was prior to the services at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Patsy was born on Dec. 20, 1946 in Ottawa to Robert and Thelma A. (Seward) Battles. She was in the graduating class of ’64 at Serena High School. She owned and operated a beauty shop and later worked at Serena Grade School. She married Gerald Berggren on July 23, 1966 at Serena United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry, her mother Thelma Battles, of Ottawa, one son, Scott (Amy) Berggren, of Ottawa, three grandchildren, Tyler (Becca) Berggren, Tara (Wes Love) Berggren, and Trace Berggren, and two brothers, Ron (Carolyn) Battles, of Ottawa, and Rick (Patty) Battles, of Colchester.
She was preceded in death by her father, and two sisters in infancy, Barbara and Bonnie.
