The coronavirus vaccine has arrived in LaSalle County. The LaSalle County Health Department says they’ve been given to the three hospitals in the county. St. Elizabeth in Ottawa, St. Paul in Mendota, and Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru are offering the shots to their frontline medical workers. The hospital officials say it’s a big step toward ending the pandemic. LaSalle County is among the first places in the country to get the vaccines because of the high local infection rate.
