Following the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for COVID-19, the LaSalle County Health Department is expecting its first shipment of the shots during the next week. Health Educator Jenny Barrie says hospitals will get the first vaccines for front line health care workers. Other health care workers and long term care facility residents and employees will also be able to get the vaccine in the first phase.
