Sen. Rezin wants details on veterans home administrator’s firing

St. Sen. Sue Rezin says firing the LaSalle veterans home administrator is a step toward accountability. But the Morris Republican says she wants to know what the governor’s office knows that led to Angela Mehlbrech’s dismissal. Rezin says Gov. Pritzker needs to be transparent about the decision. She says it’s more important to know why the Illinois Department of Public Health wasn’t involved at the home until 12 days into the outbreak that ballooned to more than 100 residents in less than a month.
