Ottawa’s property tax levy request for next year will be almost $7.4 million. The amount is up about $602,000 from the payments made this year. Treasurer Don Harris presented the information to the City Council last night. The council could adopt the levy at its next meeting on December 15. The property tax would be paid next summer for the fiscal year that starts on May 1.
