There was college hardwood action yesterday, 8th-ranked Illinois crushed Chicago State 97-38 on Thanksgiving.  Ayo Dosunmu led Illinois with 22 points.  Kofi Cockburn added a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.  Illinois is now 2-and-0 and will host Ohio today.

On Saturday, The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame will start their basketball season on the road to face 13th ranked Michigan State. 

The ISU Redbirds will take  UMass Lowell at the Redbird Arena.

Notre Dame is looking to make the college football playoffs for the second time in three years, the  number two ranked Fighting Irish will put its defense to the test on the road against an explosive North Carolina offense tonight.

The Illini will have a tall challenge ahead of them tomorrow.  Illinois will host number-four Ohio State.  The Illini are 2-and-3 on the season while the fourth-ranked Buckeyes are a perfect 4-and-0.

The 8th ranked Northwestern Wildcats travel to East Lansing to battle the Michigan State Spartans and The NIU Huskies are also on the road to face Eastern Michigan.

The NFL had a double header on Thanksgiving, Deshaun Watson threw four touchdown passes and defensive lineman J.J. Watt returned an interception for a score as the Texans dominated the Lions 41-25 in Detroit.  Will Fuller had six catches for 171 yards and two TD’s as Houston won for the third time in four games

Antonio Gibson rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns as Washington crushed the Cowboys 41-16 in Texas and lead NFC East at 4-and-7.  Andy Dalton threw a touchdown and a pick-six in the loss for Dallas, who are now 3-and-8.

The Bears will play on Sunday Night Football this week when  they visit their rival the Green Bay Packers.  The Bears are 5-and-5 and looking to snap a four-game slide.  The Packers are 7-and-3 and lead the NFC North
