North Central Area Transit is getting grants adding up to more than $1 million. The Illinois Department of Transportation announced Friday it’s providing money through the Rebuild Illinois Capital Program. Some will cover a parking lot roof at the NCAT building. That work is to start soon. And some funds will cover buying two small vehicles and a surveillance camera system for all the NCAT buses.
