Ottawa Elementary School students will have the day off Monday while teachers plan for three weeks of remote learning. The school district says 40 employees were off work because of the coronavirus yesterday.
Not all of them have the virus; some are waiting for test results and others are isolating because of contact with others who tested positive. Nevertheless, the employees needing to be away from work is making it hard for the school district to function. The tentative plan is for students to return in person on December 7.
The district stopped in-person preschool earlier this week.
