Police looking into a child’s death in Ottawa Sunday night don’t believe it happened because of a criminal act. A statement issued Tuesday afternoon says a preliminary investigation points away from foul play. It doesn’t say what police and the coroner suspect happened. An ambulance went to a south side Ottawa location Sunday night when the child was unconscious. The child died there.
