Five more coronavirus deaths and 158 new cases were reported in LaSalle County Monday. Those are records for one day. The number of known or probable active COVID-19 cases is 1,558.
The figures are surging upward as the second wave hits hard. And the county’s health department says it’s now counting probable cases. It added 106 such cases to its figures Monday.
The total number of cases known and probable so far in the county is 3,749.
