In the race for La Salle County State’s Attorney, Democrat Todd L. Martin appears to have won with 52% of the vote versus Republican Karen Donnelly receiving 48%.
The latest numbers are 26,215 votes as of 11:28pm to Karen Donnelly’s 24,497.
But there is an asterisk.
While 119 precincts are listed as “in”, in actuality there may be as many as almost 1,000 votes still left uncounted because they are post marked Nov 3 but have not been received at County Clerk Lori Bongartz’ office yet.
