Republican Stephanie Jo Thompson received 56% of the vote vs. for La Salle County Auditor on Tuesday and defeated Democrat Nikki Baer who received 44%.
Thompson graduated from Somonauk Baptist High School and Waubonsee Community College with emphasis on administration and accounting.
Thompson received 27,691 votes to Baer’s 21,869.
Thompson has pledged to bring trust and integrity back to the auditor’s position.
