Coronavirus cases are closing in on 3,000 so far in LaSalle County. The number of current active cases is approaching 1,000. The LaSalle County Health Department reported Wednesday 2,997 cases so far with 2,011 recoveries. There have been 72 fatal cases. A woman in her 80s is the latest.
