LaSalle County is in region two in the state’s COVID-19 combat plan, and that region is the last one where restrictions are returning. The governor’s office announced Sunday that bars and restaurants will close at 11pm starting Wednesday, no indoor waiting or service will be allowed, and reservations are required.

Gaming parlors and casinos must also close at 11pm. Businesses where indoor gatherings are allowed are limited to 25 guests or 25% of their capacity. For restaurants and bars, outdoor seating must be six feet apart.

As of Sunday, LaSalle County has 859 active COVID-19 cases. The county reported a 69th fatal case. A woman in her 100s succumbed to it.
