A water main break on W. Walnut St. in Oglesby is causing trouble today. Oglesby Elementary has let out Lincoln and Washington school students at 11am. Illinois Valley Community College is closed.
A message from the elementary school district says water pressure varies from little to no water coming out of the taps at all. IVCC says a decision will be made about evening classes by 3pm.
This morning, Oglesby City Commissioner Jason Curran announced that water pressure could be low for much of the western part of the city until repairs are done. He hasn’t given a time estimate for it.
