Sen. Dick Durbin says since he’s been on the Judiciary Committee, Supreme Court nomination hearings have become almost useless. The Illinois Democrat says Judge Amy Coney Barrett gave non-answers to too many questions. She kept saying the issues might come before the court.
Durbin says he’d be reluctant to ask Barrett about gravity, because she’d probably just say it could come up in a case. Barrett’s confirmation hearing ended Thursday.
