U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin hopes that after the election, Senators on both sides of the aisle put the government funding process back on track. The federal government has been running on “continuing resolutions”, with funding approved for a few weeks or months at a time, and the latest such resolution was signed into law Wednesday. It lasts until December 11.
Sen. Tammy Duckworth says she wishes Republicans would also work on economic relief during the pandemic. She says they’re working instead to rush a Supreme Court nomination that could lead to people’s health care being taken away.
