Fatal coronavirus cases across the state climbed by 25 Thursday to 8,696. That’s out of 295,440 cases so far. The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,166 new cases Thursday.
The LaSalle County Health Department says 11 more people have tested positive in the county as of Thursday for 1,775 so far. And there were 16 more recoveries for 1,226. Fatal cases held at 57.
