A companion program to the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program pays for a new furnace. Tri-County Opportunities Council LIHEAP Director Tammy Saenz says the furnace replacement program is to buy a new furnace to replace one that’s no good anymore.
The same qualifications for LIHEAP to pay electric and gas bills are in place for the furnace replacement, but with some restrictions particular to buying a furnace.
