A special Illinois House committee gets to work today on looking at House Speaker Michael Madigan’s ties to ComEd. The utility company recently agreed to pay $200 million as a fine for trying to bribe people associated with Madigan.
Madigan hasn’t been charged and has denied wrongdoing. A committee of three Democrats and three Republicans will look into things.
Dixon Republican Tom Demmer is on the special committee.
Demmer says the committee aims to find out what happened and who’s responsible.
