Streator City Engineer Jeremy Palm had planned for improving the 100 through 500 blocks of Spring St. this year. He says the state grant for it hasn’t come through yet from the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. So it’s not looking like the work can start in 2020.
The city’s getting $156,000 for the work. Palm went over changes to the five-year streets plan with the City Council this week.
