The state of Illinois is at 255,643 coronavirus cases so far with 8,242 of them fatal. The figures include 1,953 new cases and 28 deaths added to them Thursday. The Illinois Department of Public Health reported Thursday that 3.8% of tests done in the previous week had come back positive.
The LaSalle County Health Department says new cases climbed by 10 for 1,433 so far. There were 23 more recoveries for 881. The fatal case count stayed at 54.
