The City of Ottawa Public Works needs workers. The annual leaf-vac program is expected to kick into full gear Monday, November 2. Applicants must be at least 17 years of age, possess a photo ID, social security card, and be a resident of the City of Ottawa.
Applicants can expect to work weekdays 7 to 3:30 for a period of 29 days and can expect to earn $12.00 per hour if over 21 years of age. Those between ages 17 and 21 will be paid the current minimum wage. That would wrap things up December 10.
Applications can be picked up at City Hall, 301 West Madison Street or the Public Works building at 425 West Jackson. All forms must be returned by Thursday October 29, 2020.
