Tree services are likely to be busy cleaning up from last month’s derecho for a few weeks yet. Ottawa Tree Board Chairman Brent Barron asks everyone to look up at their own trees to make sure there’s not damage they just haven’t seen yet. Broken branches caught up in the rest of the tree could come crashing down later.
Barron says everyone hiring a tree service in Ottawa should make sure it’s one registered with City Hall. The city makes sure they’re qualified and bonded.
