The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is reminding fishers to clean up after themselves. Trash left behind has become a big problem at Clinton Lake in central Illinois. Conservation Police Sgt. John Williamson says empty worm containers and dirty diapers are often left behind there.

Williamson says it’s frustrating having to pick up trash left on the ground when there’s a trash can 20 yards away. The extra garbage service isn’t something the state sets aside a lot of money for.
