ComEd and Ameren say they’re not required to reimburse customers for damages because of storms that cause power outages. Nevertheless, you can make a claim and see how it goes. Tens of thousands of customers of each company were without power for part of last week after the wind storm. An unknown amount of food had to be thrown out and a lot of the customers want to know if they can be compensated.
