While Democrats are having their virtual convention this week and aiming for a big finish in November, LaSalle County Republican Party Chairman Larry Smith believes 2020 will be good for his party. Smith doesn’t have faith in the opinion polls. He says there’s a silent majority on the conservative side.
On the Democrats picking Kamala Harris as Joe Biden’s vice presidential running mate, Smith says she’ll help distinguish Democrats from Republicans because she’s so liberal.
