LaSalle County’s coronavirus case count went up by 47 Saturday. New cases included five children under age 13, four teenagers, and every decade of life up to the 100s, except for no one in their 90s being added to the count.
The LaSalle County Health Department says after adjustments for people who didn’t live in the county after all, there have now been 743 coronavirus cases in the county. Of them, 290 have recovered and 24 have died.
The Illinois count went up by 2,190 to 192,698. It appears likely to top 200,000 by the middle of this week. Eighteen more deaths were counted for 7,631. The state says 1,538 people were in hospitals because of the virus in Illinois as of Friday night.
