The Mendota City Clerk’s lobby and the Mendota Police Department lobby are closed to walk-in visitors. Mayor David Boelk says he may order most businesses in the city closed. All that’s in response to a big increase in COVID-19 cases. Boelk says the city has had 106 positive cases altogether and there are five times as many people in the city with the virus now as there were three weeks ago.
