Three of four people who were riding in a car in Woodford County have died because of a traffic crash involving an ambulance from LaSalle County. Illinois State Police say a 20-year old woman from Gridley went into an intersection south of Minonk. The ambulance hit the car in the side.
A 78-year old Ottawa woman was being transported on the ambulance. She was taken to a hospital. So was the ambulance driver, 42-year old Joe Delgado of LaSalle. Another person on the ambulance crew, 25-year old Sarrina Stewart of Earlville, was not listed as hurt.
The crash happened just before 2am Saturday.
