Pres. Trump is sending federal law enforcement agents to cities where he believes the police need help combating violence. Some people are likening that to a secret police force, because the agents aren’t identifiable.

Republican Cong. Adam Kinzinger says they do wear outfits that identify them, although they don’t have squad cars that say where they’re from. He said on WCMY’s Morning Meeting, it might be good for them to have a low profile since people are attacking them.

LaSalle Democrat Dani Brzozowski, running for Kinzinger’s U.S. House seat, says police have instigated a lot of the violence and federal law enforcement doesn’t need to get involved. She says Republicans are supporting the kind of big government crackdowns they accuse the left of plotting against the people.

In a telephone call to WCMY News, Brzozowski said she thinks demonstrations are far more likely to turn violent when police show up dressed for a riot.
