The bridge that takes LaSalle County Highway 9 or the Prairie Center Blacktop over Interstate 80 is being removed. That part of I-80 will be closed tonight (July 22nd to 23rd) from 9pm to 5am for the project.
It’ll be closed again overnight Monday and Tuesday nights until the following mornings next week (July 27th through 29th).
The Illinois Department of Transportation says they will be full closures, so no traffic will be allowed on I-80 between Utica and Ottawa. The LaSalle County Emergency Management Agency says the detour will be to U.S. 6.
