Six Ottawa fire fighters are being monitored for signs of coronavirus infection after another on their shift tested positive for it. A fire department statement says the man was last at work last Tuesday for a 24-hour shift. The statement says he got it through a non-work situation. The others tested negative for the virus as of Monday this week. Fire fighters and ambulance personnel in Ottawa and elsewhere are taking extra steps to try to keep themselves from getting and spreading the virus.
