Many people in LaSalle County saw cold air funnels Monday afternoon. Such funnels resemble tornado funnels. However, the National Weather Service says the cloud swirls usually drop only a few hundred feet from the parent cloud and don’t produce high winds. They rarely touch down and cause little or no damage when they do.
