The Ottawa Grade School Board has more questions than answers after guidelines for returning to in-person instruction were released a few weeks ago. Supt. Cleve Threadgill told the board of education during a special meeting Wednesday that a team consisting of board members, administrators, social workers, and others will start working out the details. Masks will be required.
The school district plans to provide masks, but students will be able to use their own. Threadgill says there will be limits on how many students can ride a bus or be in the same room, so parents should be ready for changes in how lunch and transportation are handled.
The school district is also working on a remote learning plan.
Parents are asked to answer survey on reopening on the district’s website.
