LaSalle County Deputies and Sandwich police were called to Countryside Estates south of Somonauk on Monday for a domestic disturbance.
The officers were confronted by 57-year-old Curtis K. Poe who was allegedly pointing a crossbow at them.
Poe is said to have refused to put down the weapon and Sandwich officers used stun guns on him.
He was taken to Valley West Hospital in Sandwich and then to the LaSalle County Jail. Poe is charged with aggravated battery.
