The new Ottawa YMCA community recreation center is roughly estimated to cost $20 million. It’ll get $3 million in help from a tax increment financing fund. The Ottawa City Council approved its side of the ten-year TIF deal last week. The council also approved selling the land where the building will go for $10. The Y organization plans to raise the elevation of the former Central School track behind the Knights of Columbus and build there.
