Marseilles Mayor Jim Hollenbeck says every few years the city looks at how it deals with a number of problems brought on by weather. The city council discussed it Wednesday.
Hollenbeck says one recommendation the city will look into is adding more emergency sirens in town.
He says most people use emergency alert systems that send notifications to phones, but it is a good idea to have sirens for people away from their phones.
Hollenbeck says the city is also looking into raising its flood evacuation levels. He thinks the city has Illinois River flooding under control for the most part.
