State Police say no charges will be filed against a LaSalle man who jumped from the Interstate 39 Abraham Lincoln Bridge last month. A witness told State Police the man jumped off the bridge into the Illinois River.
After an investigation that led to a 33-year old man, troopers found him alive and well. He told them he jumped, swam to shore, and then went home.
Several rescue agencies kept watch on the river and on the Illinois River 351 bridge downstream until sundown that day.
