Court personnel aim to keep people moving through to minimize coronavirus spread

Things are changing for the public’s return to LaSalle County courtrooms, and some changes are ones a lot of people will like. Sheriff Tom Templeton says there’ll be no more showing up for traffic court and waiting all morning for your case to come up. He says the judge is staggering court appearances every few minutes. To keep too many people from being packed close together, court personnel don’t want them showing up more than 15 minutes early.

And Templeton says don’t take your family or other people who don’t need to be in court with you. The courts reopen for more of the normal business Monday. He was on WCMY’s Morning Meeting program Wednesday.
