The Business Employment Skills Team submitted 29 applications from businesses in eight counties for grants from the state to help them stay open despite changes in the way they have to do business. BEST Inc. Business Relations Manager Dianna Schuler says a lot of businesses asked for funds and the state ran out of money. But ten in the BEST Inc. service area were chosen.
Schuler says more of the businesses that applied could get grants if the state gets more money for the grant program.
