The person killed in a train versus pedestrian crash Monday morning at the south railroad crossing on Main Street in Marseilles has been identified as 48-year-old Patrick D. Haff who was homeless. Marseilles police say Haff stepped onto the westbound tracks in front of the oncoming train. It was traveling at forty miles per hour at the time. The collision and investigation closed the railroad crossing for some time.
