A 35-year old Ottawa man is the person who died in a traffic crash Saturday morning north of Grand Ridge. LaSalle County Coroner William Wujek says Michael Richard Brockhum, Jr. was in the pickup truck going north on Illinois 23. It got hit by a trailer that came off a pickup truck going south. The trailer was loaded with sand. Illinois State Police and the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the crash.
