The virtual graduation ceremony that Illinois Valley Community College will put on tomorrow will be smaller than usual. But it’s also the first of its kind.
Associate Vice President for Student Services Mark Grzybowski says there are 800 to 900 graduates who earn associate’s degrees or certificates during the school year. They’re invited to be in the graduation. Normally, around 200 want to do it. This year, about 140 are.
The participants submitted pictures of themselves for a presentation. The program will be shown online starting at 1:30pm Saturday, May 16.
