A veteran who had tested positive for the corona virus has since tested negative twice. The Illinois Department of Public Health announced the case at the LaSalle veterans’ home on Saturday, May 2.

Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs Public Information Officer Evan Fazio says there’s no way to know if the positive result was a false result as some people are calling it. But he says the veterans’ home staff are continuing to follow the latest announced protocols for protecting the residents and each other.

Fazio says all tests from the home in LaSalle are coming back negative. The IDPH says all residents at the home have been tested.
