The resident of the LaSalle Veterans Home who had tested positive for COVID-19 has since tested negative according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. The LaSalle County Health Department on Monday reported two new cases of the virus.
The total case count is now 106. An earlier case announced over the weekend turned out not to be from within the county. The new cases are a man in his thirties and woman in her fifties. The county also had another recovery bringing that total to 44.
Illinois announced an additional 1,266 cases Monday and 54 new deaths. The state has had 79,007 cases and 3,459 deaths.
